It was totally demoralizing.
What I didn’t realize at the time was that everything I was doing to try to control my eating (and thus control my weight) was actually the exact opposite of what’s needed for my personal Holiday Eating Style.
See, for me, rules and restrictions are an automatic trigger for overeating. What I really need in order to make empowered, nourishing choices is something quite different.
