The Truth About Love

After a failed marriage and several broken hearts, I’ve learned a few things about love, and am proud to say I will never stop believing in it or giving it. Ill always choose to look at life through heart-shaped glasses! Here are a few key lessons I’ve picked up along the way…to inspire your Valentine’s Day and Beyond.

• Love comes from within. Really. 
• There are only two emotions – Love and Fear. If it’s not love, it is some form of fear. Anger, sadness, resentment, jealousy, gossip, overwhelm – All fear.
• It’s not a cheesy as it sounds to love yourself. In fact it’s kind of fun.
• We aren’t taught the truth about love growing up. We have to learn it ourselves.
• Love is both harmless and terrifying. Oh wait, that second part isn’t love.
• You can never truly lose love. But you might misplace it from time to time.
• If you go looking for drama, problems, and complaints, you aren’t going to find love.
• Love heals the body and the mind. The soul is already healed.
• Love cures Bulimia. True story.
• Love isn’t something you find, need, get or keep. It’s something you ARE.
• Love out = Love in.
• Love is like breath, it flows out of, into and through you, in direct proportion to the rate at which you respire. 
• Love, Money, Eating… all connected. When one flows freely so do the others.
• Your ego does not love you.
• Love means taking responsibility for your own feelings and behavior, not putting them on another.
• When someone else doesn’t behave lovingly toward you, that’s THEIR stuff.
• Expecting someone to complete you… that ain’t love (sorry, Jerry Maguire).
• Love doesn’t mean holding on to someone forever, it means allowing them to follow their own path.
• A hot roll in the hay is not love, but it sure can be fun.
• One of the most loving things you can do for someone is give them the opportunity to give you what you need. Ask for what you want. Others cant read your mind.
• All you have to do to get more love in your life is notice it. Notice it all around you today, and every day!
