Came across this article on CNN this morning, this gal and I must be on parallel tracks! First off I’ll admit it made me feel better about myself – I can relate but I’m not quite as bad, I mean, at least I can accept a compliment! Reading the article I was reminded of a joke I made to a friend once upon receiving a new prescription for anxiety medication, that I was too anxious about what it might do to me to take it (only half-joking). Yep, that’s when you know you’re anxious. But I am definitely finding that the only thing we really have control over in this life is our own thought process. We experience what we choose to experience.http://www.cnn.com/2010/LIVING/09/14/tf.stop.criticizing.myself/index.html?hpt=SbinSide note: I love the bit about The Secret making her paranoid! That’s certainly a risk if you are already on the anxious side. A couple of great books that shed a little more light on that subject: Truth, Triumph and Transformation by Sandra Anne Taylor, and CALM, A Proven Four-Step Process for Women Who Worry by Denise Marek.
